When I’m trying to be fancy, I feel like a failure when I serve plain potato chips on my boards. Shortly after all the new thin chips hit the market, I thought to myself, I bet you can use those and create a “Special Chip”. Friends, this is it. They are so addictive! They go perfect with The Best Onion Dip. Watch them closely as they bake because they will burn easily. I speak from experience.
Jay's Hot Chips
Ingredients:
1 bag of Ritz Thin Chips
1 bag of Cheez-It Snap’d
1 bag of Bugles
1 1/4 cup of oil
2 packages of dry ranch
2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Combine everything but the chips in a small bowl and set aside. Empty the chips into a large bowl. Pour the seasoning over the chip. Gently move the chips around until they are fully coated. Spread the chips out on a couple of cookie sheets and bake until lightly brown and the chips have dried out, usually about 30-45 minutes.
Serve with any dip, but these are so good with The Best Onion Dip.
