Home Made Pita Chips

In my opinion, the store-bought pita chips are a little too crunchy. I like mine to be a little soft. These will go great with any Greek dish like hummus or Whipped Feta Dip.

Homemade Pita Chips


1 16-ounce package of pita bread, about 6

1/4 cup olive oil

Coarsely ground salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a pizza cutter, cut each pita into 8 pieces like cutting a pizza. Spread triangles out on a baking sheet. Using a brush, coat each piece with the olive oil before sprinkling with a little salt. Bake about 15-20 minutes until the chips are golden brown and a little crispy. I like for mine to be crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. Remove from oven and cool. Store in a zip lock bag until time to serve.
