Lou and I had some of the best times living in Belzoni, Mississippi. We hosted the young couples with small children to our home often, and everyone brought an appetizer to share. The first time I had Pizza Dip was when Kenzie Winstead brought it over to share on one of those nights. Kenzie was from Alabama and moved to Belzoni when she married Ray. They have three boys, but she only had Cole when we met. Kenzie made a very simple version of this recipe using pepperoni and mozzarella as the only toppings. The children loved it. I recently made this dip for Friday Night Porch party, and I used everything you’d find on a Pizza Hut Super Supreme Pizza: mini pepperonis, sausage, green bell peppers, red onions, and black olives. I loved it! I think you will too.
